My Place

In March of 2003 I got my own place. It is run basically by an ECU program, an environmental control and computer operation program called Multimedia Max. It basically runs my house for me, turning lights on and off, opening and closing doors, adjusts my thermostat all by voice command. I also have surveillance cameras at the front and the rear to see who is at the door and a great security system with voice boxes and a button to let people in by Pacific Security. Multimedia Max has enabled me to do what I never thought I would be able to do, live alone and feel secure. Multimedia Max also stores and dials phone numbers and all by voice command. Even after the installation is done the man that installed it, Dan the computer man, is always quick to answer my phone calls when I have a problem. He is also very patient.

I also have a ceiling left from Max Ability. It is in my bedroom and runs into my bathroom. It lowers me down into the bathtub so I can finally, after eight years, take a bath and feel secure. It can also put me over my toilet far easier and faster bowl programs.

My font door and the gate to my ramp open by the push of a button. For the front door it looks like a garage door opener and for the gate I have pushed pads on either side. The company that installed those for me is called Open Sesame. Everything work so greatI'm going to use the same in my new house in Santa Cruz.
